Seven Days - day 4
/It's was a mellow, play at home kind of day.
Seven Days - Day 2
/Another lovely day!
Seven Days of Santi - Day 1
/A small glimpse into Santi's fun Friday in El Paso.
CHD Awareness Week
/February 7th-14th is CHD Awareness Week!
In an effort to raise awareness of HLHS I will be posting 'Seven Days of Santi!' So check back everyday through the 14th to see a week in the life of my little love❤
First 'salon' haircut
/We love Santiago's hair long, it's so cute. But we recently noticed it interfering with important baby stuff, like crawling! It was always in his eyes. Not to mention his gnarly, yet adorable bed head.
On Sunday we stopped by our favorite salon, Disconnected in North Park, and Neil, the owner gave him a quick trim. Santi fussed the whole time! You'd a thought haircuts hurt by the sound of his cries! But Neil powered through it and gave Santi the sweetest baby boy trim. We love his new look, he is so handsome.
BFF
/Today was rainy, so we went to Melissa's house for some indoor playtime. Kaison is just over 4 months old. He and Santi are 6 months apart (just like Melissa and I!)
When I see them play together I can't help but imagine them as teenagers, being loud, rowdy and causing trouble. I know the years will fly by, we will be there in a blink. So I have to stop myself and soak up these precious moments. They are so small and so sweet. They recognize each other, smile and try to touch each others faces, it's the cutest! Friends for life. ❤

Oprah Chopra
/I remember years ago, someone making a joke about 'if Oprah married Deepak Chopra, then she'd be Oprah Chopra,' I always thought that was pretty funny.
We were out to dinner with Abe's parents a few days ago and in walked Deepak! We were so excited for Santi to have his first celebrity encounter with someone so influential.
Sea Life aquarium
/If you would have told me six months ago that we'd be doing normal things, like taking our baby to the aquarium, I would have never believed you!
My mom gave us season passes to LegoLand and their aquarium for Christmas. We were so excited to take Santi for the first time! He loved seeing the beautiful fish. They even have sharks and stingrays. So cool! We'll be spending a lot of time there this year.
New traditions
/Having a baby really makes you think about tradition. You want them to grow up looking forward to the things that are unique to your family. We started two small traditions with Santi this year. A walk on the Oceanside pier on Christmas Day and a beach stroll on New Years Day.
Baby's first Christmas
/We had a wonderful Christmas, filled with love, laughter and family.
We Wish you
/a MERRY CHRISTMAS
Nine months!
/Nine months has never passed so quickly! (I probably say that every time I do an age post) But its true! Time is flying by us too fast. Our baby is looking less like a baby and more like a little boy.
- He is working on popping out tooth #8.
- I had to trim his hair (AGAIN!)
- He crawls nonstop and is starting to pull up! I even found him standing in his crib this week!
- He loves playing with Stella and his maracas
- He is still a great sleeper, sleeping 7pm-7am consistently and taking 2 naps a day
- After 3 months of Baby-Led Weaning (excited to post about BLW soon!) he is really interested in food and feeding himself
- Mama is still pumping. Santi now has 2 breastmilk and 2 formula bottles everyday
- Santi is learning to use a sippy cup
- At his last office visit he was 21lbs and almost 29 inches long

Christmas with friends
/Seeing my besties with their babies is the BEST Christmas gift!
The Littles are in town for a few days so we got the kiddos together at Melissa's house for their first Christmas together. It was so fun to see all the kids interact for the first time.
Kaison is 3.5 months, Santi is almost 9 months and Eva is a year and 5 months.
Teef
/Have I mentioned the chompers on this kid? He has 7 (SEVEN!) teeth and number 8 is on its way!
We have a Crawler!
/On November 27 Santiago started crawling and our lives got a lot more exciting! He gets harder to keep up with everyday.
